Sadly enough, though, neither Anya nor Katarzyna was included in Elite's showpackage. I hope they'll be in some shows regardless! |

OH, and I almost forgot. Back to the bad dog concept....
Evita completely and totally ate some cheese my mom left out on the counter. Which hadn't been removed from its plastic wrapping yet. And she ate the whole thing. All of it, plastic included, down the hatch. The only way I absolutely positively knew she had done it, was that there was this odd ... smudge... on the floor. So I noticed Evita padding about and sternly said her name, pointed my finger down, and said "What Is This? EVITA! WHAT IS THIS?!!" which is what we do when she's done something bad. And true to bad dog form who KNOWS she did something bad, she put her head down like she instantly didn't know what we were talking about and guility (and very quickly I might add) slunk away. Yeah. Instant guilt. She'd done it. She doesn't act that way when she hasn't done something bad, its like a dead ringer of the done-bad doggie. Also, that smudge on the floor? Yeah, if you ran your hand through it and then smelled it, it was blue cheese. Mom went to clean the smudge up and eventually found the tiniest crumb of blue cheese. And Mom was crushed because she had so wanted blue cheese with her salad and had spent a lot of time agonizing over the best priced one at the grocery store, and then Evita steals it and eats it all.
BAD DOG. Bad theiving dog. Grrrrrrr. |

Ugh
Spent my morning running around trying to find the dog, who was LOOSE, not because she "escaped" but because her outdoor tie-out BROKE. Rusted off and BROKE OFF. Dammnit.
Finally saw her, and rustled her on closer to home. Rustled meaning I followed her while she loped and bounded about in her filthy wet digusting "loose" doggie way. And she took me on a merry journey too, up the private drive, over to the barn, around the barn, up to the house, away from the house, towards the road, back around to the front of the house, back DOWN the private drive, etc etc etc. Was starting to get desperate (and out of breath) so I was like "Evita! Do you want WATER?! I HAVE WATER RIGHT HERE!!!" and she came over closer and sat down. Luckily I DID have water nearby, she was running past my water holding tank (a plastic wheelbarrow) for my 2nd garden when I called that out. THANK GOD.
And then she got the bath of her nightmares. High pressure (ok not that high really) from the hose, with much washing, scrubbing, bathing, soap, water, and I even busted out the brush to get the burrs out of her fur.
ARGH.
What I would personally love to know (and maybe not really) is how she got the bright green, algae looking, 3 inch by 9 inch mark along her neck. Like, what the heck did she rub against to cause that??? EW!
She was fillllllllllllllthy when I grabbed her finally. And she's CLEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN now. HA. Of course, while washing her, I became quite wet myself, between me getting a back spray and then her shaking the water off. I finally gave up and just sat down in a wet puddle. What a WAY to start a morning, eh?
Of course this has all set me back by a few hours, I was gonna get stuff done this morning, and this morning is rapidly ending in about 20 minutes. :-\

Well, our "excursion" aka "vacation from HELL" was go up to Conneticut on Friday day, and then spend one night in CT, and then head down to Atlantic City on Saturday and then head home from Atlantic City NJ that night. We got in at 2am saturday night and felt like we had all been born and lived our whole lives in that car. What an awful feeling.
I woke up sunday morning feeling absolutely exhausted and like someone had beat me up. Sometime sunday I called my friend Jackie and I agreed I was going with them to see a concert in Frederick. I had a great time hanging out with them again, woo! I also took my new nile dooney and bourke out, and it worked out perfectly! I LOVE that purse!!
Today I just have SO MUCH to do! Send off the kimono somone won (and payed for) on ebay. Get my resume in shape and cover letter done and send in that one application in. And hope that other person pays for her stuff. And then write a functional resume MYSELF, since apparently the help I was supposed to get from mom and Pete never actually materialized. :-\
And then look for more jobs. :) |
